Johny Arango, Colombian Peace Activist

Jhony Arango grew up in Colombia, a country with a history of civil unrest, political violence, and military oppression. At a young age, Jhony chose a path of peace, becoming a conscientious objector to Colombia’s obligatory military service. In 2019, he joined Community Peacemaker Teams, which has its roots in the historic peace churches of North America.
